HISPANIC PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S FOUNDATION, INC.
HPWA was created in May of 1990, by a group of successful Hispanic women in the Tampa Bay Area, who noticed a need to have an organization to enhance the lives of Hispanic women. In 2019, the Hispanic Professional Women's Foundation, Inc. (HPWF) a 501(c)3, organization, was established to serve as the fundraising arm of HPWA. Both organizations share the mission “to enhance the image of professional Hispanic women and to promote the value of a higher education.” This is accomplished through professional development, mentorship, and scholarships. HPWF coordinates annual events and other fundraising efforts to fulfill its mission.
The purpose of this corporation is to support the mission of the Hispanic Professional Women’s Association that promotes the value of a higher education through fundraising activities that would fund scholarships for deserving Hispanic women in pursuit of a college education.
