Communication Committee

The communication committee is responsible for maintaining and distributing all forms of written and verbal communication. This includes promoting the organization on social media and online accounts as well as community events, paper mailings and more as the need arises. The communication committee will work in conjunction with other committees for the best possible communication outcome of a project or event. Sponsorship and Fundraising Committee

The HPWA Sponsorship and Fundraising Committee organizes the annual scholarship event, as well as actively grows sponsorship partners and fundraising opportunities during the year. Please contact  Maria Jose Fashoro at fundraising@hpwatampa.org if you would like to be part of the Sponsorship and Fundraising Committee or need any information regarding our current sponsorship opportunities. 

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting new qualified members and ensuring current members are enjoying their roles and experiences with HPWA. The committee functions as the point of contact for members, applications and membership questions.  To join this committee, please contact Layla Alo Caballero at membership@HPWATampa.org.

Community Outreach Committee

The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for planning and executing outreach activities for public awareness through targeted community interaction in the Tampa Bay area. Community Outreach members actively attend events throughout Tampa Bay, network with community leaders and strive to support initiatives that uphold the HPWA image and mission. Event Committee

The Event Committee is responsible for planning, promoting HPWA monthly events, and professional development events. The goal is to provide professional development opportunities for HPWA members relevant to HPWA's mission. Please contact Marynes Mateos to participate in this committee.

Mentoring and Scholarship Committee

The Mentoring and Scholarship Committee is responsible for the Mentor-Mentee Program, and the assessment of annual scholarship opportunities. The committee works with local higher education programs to partner and recruit potential student members.
